I find it by coincidence two months ago. This is something if you hear the first time you’ll be impressed, the second time you want to hear it again, the third time you’ll fall in love with it, the fourth time you’ll keep it in loop, the fifth time you’ll become absentminded, the sixth time you’ll think about the words meaning, the seventh time the harmonies take you again, the eighth time you’ll hear how Marcel interpret the song, the ninth time you’ll think about all the things you was listening to before, and the tenth time you should not find the words to describe your feelings. Sorry this is for good music listeners only.

A new album of Marcel Khalife have just been released on November 2006 titled Taqasim (Improvisations), a tribute and expression of fidelity from Marcel to Mahmoud Darwish, who marked his life and his music and compositions. The album is really magic with Marcel Khalife on Oud, Peter Herbert on bass and Bachar Khalife on percussion.

A new experience that I really loved just from the samples, and really can’t wait to hear the full album. The communication is very fluent between Percussion, Oud and Bass that will certainly take you to the world of poetry that Marcel wanted to dedicate this work. Only one thing I didn’t like in the album, is the name ! Taqasim is very “classic” as name, and it don’t refer to the sensitivity that chords are creating, nor to the fidelity that Marcel is expressing to Mahmoud Darwich.

It’s 8.6 Gigapixel no mistakes, and it seems to be the largest digital photo on the Net ! A composite photo of the “Parete Gaudenziana,” a fresco painted by Gaudenzio Ferrari, dated 1513. This fresco is in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in the convent of Varallo Sesia, diocese of Novara and Province of Vercelli, Italy. The site uses Flash to let you explore the fresco over a zoom range of more than 180 to 1. The photo is made up of 1145 images, each 12.2 Mpixel and 16 bits per color channel. Read on for more technical specs of the photo.

Size of Photographed Scene: 10.80 m x 9.94 m (35.43 ft x 32.61 ft), corresponding to 107.35 m2 (1155.37 ft2). What can I say, just crazy !! The website is very slow, but it’s worth waiting. Via Slashdot.
