Tabara3.com is a new website created by Abu Muhammed, which aims to connect blood donors and people in urgent need of blood in hospitals. I think it’s really great initiative that should be adopted by official institutions and organizations such the red crescent society.

Do you really need a real time latest list of people in need, to make the move and donate blood? why don’t you just do it and save your time following the latest requests.
just my opinion.

I think the way it’s made now will touch more people. If it’s not a relative or someone you know very closely why would like to go and donate blood by yourself ?

and you will get that kind of information from a website? if that is the case I don’t think he is that close to deserve your blood

No but that’s why the website is there to incite ppl to donate, and show that there are ppl who really need help.

Hello gents…
Firstly: thanx Hatem/Tarek for blogging/commenting about tabara3.com … thanx alot…
you are both right!!
Hatem: you are right because this website will make it easier for people to reach donators [ who are willing ] to donate and eventually carry the message of how important donation is …
Tarek: you are right since the way the website is now will not drive people to volunteerly go to a blood bank and give blood to raise the bank’s reserves… and the reason is simple: it was never my intention to do that …. :o) …
…
what I want is connect, as Hatem said, people who are of [urgent] need to people who are [ interested + ready] to donate… the defacto way of doing this was to have a list of people with their contact phones and blood groups listed and the needy would have to call them one by one..! THIS IS NOT THE WAY IT CAN BE … we can do slightly better!
Now, if you thought about it, the problem is two folds: the first is getting the message from the need really easy… The way we do it currently is through web-forms that are also available through a mobile website [m.tabara3.com] … is that it? NO, we will soon have requested send to an email and added automatically {we use post-moderation} then will have SMS added automatically [pending a sponsor]..
The second fold is getting the message to the interested and ready! and that where I have quite a load to do …. we have RSS feeds now and once the rate of submittal increases, we will have an RSS feed per blood group, per country, per whatever … it would quite flexible…
OK, so again Thanx Tarek/Hatem for your interest and I would appreciate any feedback or thoughts you may have…
