I got this week Keif Alhal DVD, and watch it on weekend. I was interested to see the movie that Rotana have very well promoted, and announced as the first Saudi movie, while I’m not really sure that it’s really the first one. For a start I’ll say the movie is really great, showing many aspects of the saudi society and culture that are unknown for other arab countries. You see many people mocking of Mutawaa and their severe ideologies, but it’s interesting to see how the Saudi society accept them and deal with them. Lot of issues regarding religion, religious, arts, women’s driving cars, …etc.

I loved the actors especially the grandfather, how he’s joking, defending his grandson , trying to keep the family always together, a very special personality, or maybe the youngest one ! It could be a better comedy movie discussing the different social topics, while in this case it’s not all comedy and not all family drama, it’s the unclassified that I really didn’t like. If I have to give an overall note I’ll say 7/10.
