A coincidence that one of the winners in the latest Firefox Magazine contest was Tunisian, and seriously I wasn’t surprised when he wanted to send the prize to his friends in Tunisia none was interested. He told me in email :

“people in Tunisia don’t like reading such kind of books.”

Blah ! If it was chocolate everybody will be happy ! no serious, I think that Tunisians interested into reading books in general are really a few percentage, and those who read technical books should be certainly few of the few percentage, or in other words the geeks !

The truth that even in computers science universities none is interested into technical books, the most important remain marks and exams in the end of the year, of course the diploma in the end of studying and good job and a good salary later. Skills are the last thing that we should think about. It doesn’t mean that Tunisians skills in computer science are bad or weak, but skills in belote or bridge are stronger.
