I’m not used to create DVDs before, so today I left the DVD creator running and took about 5h30 to finish creating the DVD and burn it !! That’s too much I think ? The only problem that I don’t want to create the DVD only but i want it to fit on 4.7GB disks, now I’m testing to create the DVD without burn it and the time displayed is about 3 hours !! Is not there any fast way to create 4.7GB DVD image from avi, divx or mpeg, then burn it in less than one hour ? Burning maybe depend on the writer speed and so on, but what about the creation process ? I find 3 hours tooo much, especially that I have a lot of movies that I want to watch at home.

Update : The second process just finished its 3 hours for creating the DVD image but took only 5 minutes for burning !!!

I usualy use AVI2DVD (freeware). It takes about 2 hours to create a DVD image from AVI.
Less than 1 hour ? Impossible I guess, unless you have a heavy multiprocessors parallel beast
There are so many sound and video encoding and conversions that need to be processed. With AVI2DVD it is possible to do some tweaking : I usualy disable the .ISO DVD image generation, but again, the best I can get is 2 hours or more.

Thanks Houssein, I’m going to try AVI2DVD and see the results. In the DVDs I’ve burned yesterday, audio quality wasn’t good at all, everytime there is an excess of red color in the screen it become very noisy, while on PC the quality is excellent
