One of the books that I read maybe 4 times or more is Jaws by Peter Benchley. You have certainly seen the movie, its very old and yesterday I saw the Jaws 3 movie but I was half sleepy. Peter Benchley is dead saturday night at the age of 65. Jaws was the bestselling book on 1974 and we still hear about it until today. I have at home a very old copy of the book in french and there is a quote that I loved : “Le passé a souvent l’air plus beau que le présent, mais le présent n’est jamais aussi beau qu’il le sera plus tard.”
Peter Benchley, author of the 1974 bestselling novel which became the Steven Spielberg film of the same name, has died at the age of 65. He was suffering from a progressive and fatal scarring of the lungs and died on Saturday night at his home in Princeton, New Jersey.
While Benchley’s novel and Spielberg’s blockbuster movie succeeded in filling many with a sense of terror at the thought of sharks, Benchley himself was a lifelong advocate of shark conservation. “He cared very much about sharks. He spent most of his life trying to explain to people that if you are in the ocean, you’re in the shark’s territory, so it behoves you to take precautions,” explained his widow, Wendy Benchley.

The Associated Press is carrying a story about a NYC employee fired after Mayor Michael Bloomberg noticed a game of solitare on the employee’s desktop at work.” From the article: “Greenwood, who earned $27,000 a year and had worked in the office for six years, said in a telephone interview that he limited his play time to his one-hour lunch or during quick breaks when he needed a moment of distraction. ‘It wasn’t like I spent hours and hours a day playing, because I had plenty to do,’ Greenwood said. ‘If I had been working at something exhaustively for two hours, I might get a cup of coffee and play for a minute but then go right back to my work.’”
After the success of Open Source for software, a new initiative have been launched to create an Open Source Car. The idea looks amazing, but very interesting though. Maybe open source car could be manufactered by many industrials so its price will be competitive, also the design and futuristic look makes me really interested.

Today I was hearing lot of news, and almost all bad news ! Many people are considering publishing the caricatures insulting the Prophet Mohammed PBUH is game, or to defend what they called “Freedom of speech”. God said in quran surah AlAhzab verse 57 : “Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.”
What is happening in the world these days are all “reasons”, and in the name of freedom of speech all of them have guaranteed a place in hell forever. Don’t touch to the best human that have been send as a mercy to all over the world, not only to muslims !
I just download the Beta 2 Preview of the famous Internet Explorer 7, well what can I say ! It simply came with the Firefox features that I was using since a year with a new interface ala microsoft. I think now its time that they make some changes on their website, because pages still opening in new pages and popups, so i was wondering why they added tabs if they don’t use it ! Of course you might know that IE7 is using the Firefox icon for RSS.
The downloaded file is about 11MB, and require at least windows XP service pack 2. Of course after install you have to restart windows ! My god I was wondering when will they stop restarting their system for every new thing installed !!!! Firefox don’t need to restart windows after the first install, so why IE7 can’t do better on their own system ?? Anyway I heared lot of buzz around IE7 before and today I give it a try, am sorry microsoft but you are loosing your money for something that already exist. Simply Adopt Mozilla Firefox.
