Good morning Tunisia ! I think it will be better if the Tunisian Constitution drops forever the mention of “islam” as its official religion rather than seing such speech. Alarabiya.net and AP mentionned an article published in Al Sabah newspaper where the Tunisian’s Religious Affairs Minister is talking about Islam, Hijab and so on :

TUNIS, Tunisia - Tunisia’s religious affairs minister has criticized Muslim women’s practice of wearing head scarves, saying it does not fit with the North African country’s cultural heritage.

Aboubaker Akhzouri said the government of the moderate Muslim country also rejects Muslim tunics like those worn in Persian Gulf states and the practice of men wearing long beards.

“It’s regrettable that we don’t respect our specificity,” he was quoted as saying in Assabah newspaper on Wednesday. He said the head scarf is “foreign” and “an intrusion,” and recommended a traditional Tunisian Islamic tunic known as the jebbah.

The new year holidays of this year looks to be special for me, even that I’m not concerned directly. Personaly I didn’t got holidays since I got my engineering diploma, anyway it was since school … I want to go back school ! My parents when I was child told me to work hard to finish your studies and then I can have time to rest, but this will never happen I knew.

I took few days resting before with family, but really in our job of IT, engineering … you’ll never find resting time enough, because of busy working days, sometimes spending even 48 hours working non stop for a reason or another. But fortunately I can feel the holidays coming soon and I really can’t wait to take these holidays.

This graph will help you very much to understand how, why and when the Gasoline price change. I found it very true, specially that the data used are the Gasoline index which is calculated from weekly data published by USEPA, and you can see how they calculated the Bush index in their website. Here is the result :

Tim Berners-Lee is the Director of the World Wide Web Consortium, Senior Researcher at MIT’s CSAIL, and Professor of Computer Science at Southampton ECS. Maybe the name isn’t very familiar for some of you, but you should be familiar with the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), the organization behind allmost all web standards such HTML, XML, CSS …

In 1989 one of the main objectives of the WWW was to be a space for sharing information. It seemed evident that it should be a space in which anyone could be creative, to which anyone could contribute. The first browser was actually a browser/editor, which allowed one to edit any page, and save it back to the web if one had access rights.

Microsoft is loosing another market ? Certainly the progress of Safari browser in MACOS is huge to support almost all available web technologies. But to make Microsoft stops its development to Internet Explorer for MAC and suggest MAC users to move to Safari ? Sounds weird !!

ie-mac.png

In June 2003, the Microsoft Macintosh Business Unit announced that Internet Explorer for Mac would undergo no further development, and support would cease in 2005. In accordance with published support lifecycle policies, Microsoft will end support for Internet Explorer for Mac on December 31st, 2005, and will provide no further security or performance updates.

Additionally, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac will no longer be available for download from Mactopia. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple’s Safari.
