Internet Explorer is my browser of choice and I’m eagerly looking forward to the enhancements coming in IE 7. However, some of our customers prefer using Firefox and we respect that choice. Some developers in our user community have created Firefox plug-ins to make it easy to do searches on MSN from the Firefox search box. Even though it’s currently buried in Firefox under “Add Engines… Find lots of other search engines…”, it seems that our customers have been finding it since we’re listed as one of the most popular search engine plugins.

Ramadan is coming, and usually in muslims country or wherever muslims live this month is very special. The problem that I see it that in many countries, including mine, that ramadan is the month of food. In the morning we fast, and after the maghreb prayer we can eat. And certainly many forgot what ramdan is expecting this.
Ramadan is a guest who visit us every year, and we don’t know if we’ll see it next year or no.

I was not looking for a new job, either I wasn’t awaiting any job offer specially from google ! Yesterday I received an email to join the SRE group at google (Site Reliability Engineering) with two opportunities the first one is Database Administrator/Unix System Administrator and the second one is a Senior Systems Administrator/Architect.
The positions are open in USA, Ireland, and Switzerland. The two offers looks very interesting, but I’ll try to see if there is more offers that fit more with my profile. The only exciting thing that it’s working at google, a new experience which is certainly unique!

I didn’t dream about it, but when I saw it I’ve said this is the monitor that I want. I’ll keep the left part for working and the write one for email, internet search, my blog(s) … Amazing, it would be interesting for network games also, the game will be more real. There is more models with 3, 4 and 5 parts , I just stopped at 2 and it’s enough for me. Take a breath, the resolution is up to 7680 x2400 Pixels !! mamamiaaaa !!

Yesterday was a special day, I mean today, at 0h30 I went for the first time swimming in the red sea. I visit it before, but it was the first time swimming there. For someone who grow up in the sea it wasn’t something new, but interesting and funny specially that we was a group of 5 PHP programers, an oracle developer and a designer 
We arrived at 2h30 and still there swimming and playing football until 5h in the morning, of course I was the coach. At 7h I was already in bed. I have some pictures but it’s not interesting to publish since it was by night you won’t see anything expect the darkness. Anyway, the red sear is not red. Good information thought ?

Today is a special day for Opera, they permanently removed the ad banner and licensing fee from its award-winning Web browser. The ad-free, full-featured Opera browser is now available for download - completely free of charge.
Today Opera is looking to enter in real competition with the leaders and win some new users. Very hard in my opinion compared to Firefox, but it still possible maybe to attract some IE users. This is said, the mobile version of opera still paid, maybe they’ll try to compense what they cannot earn from the desktop by the mobile.
Stormpay (aff link), online payment solution, introduced StormClix the stormpay solution to advertise amd make trafic but also to get paid by clicking on ads.
I have already advertised with Get Paid solutions, you get certainly trafic, but nothing else ! generally visitors are just interested to click once to get paid, then they to close it as soon as possible to click on the next link. Even if you have some good content or excellent product.
Update : I took a screenshot from my Stormpay account, transaction done and money send on time. This will make many jealous, specially those running Get Paid services.

In the effort to fight spam it is possible today to define clearly what is a Splog ( Spam + Blog ), personaly I define it as blog that are created by automated process for commercial purpose in first place and annoying the web in second place, but the problem faced today that to offer a good service we need a good definition of “normal blog”.
A definition which doesn’t include spammers. I have started with this : a Blog have unique and original content. What else ?
